I've read others that were reporting on their experiences with VW dual clutch systems … they said the service was more expensive than a "normal" automatic, and far more (their term) often
the cynical part of me can't imagine that Porsche would be less than VW

Can't remember who on here reported it but someone takes the VW TDI with DSG to thier local stealership for service. $300 was the price if I remember correctly. Not cheap but I have seen similar prices from the big 3 stealerships for regular automatics.
50k recommended intervals on the DSG as well. I don't know what "modern" automatics are but IIRC it is 60k, so not horribly out of line there either.
Now all that aside, I don't think the VW DSG and PDK have anything to do with each other.
Porsche lists PDK clutch service at 56k and transmission at 112k (which is 90k Kilos and 180k kilos respectively which sounds Porsche-y)
